Gary Farmer, current CATC Board member and 2001-2002 Chair, has been named the 2006 Austinite of the Year by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. He will be recognized at the Chamber’s February 6 Annual Meeting.

As of December 29, 5.8 miles of SH 130 are within the Georgetown city limits.
The annexation, approved in November, also includes a 2.5-mile segment of IH-35 right-of-way as well, for a total of eight miles of interstate and highway right-of-way (ROW).
The city council chose annexed the property in order to regulate the expected commercial and residential development.
